Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines
As a first-year applicant to UNE, you will need to have completed high school or the equivalency. We offer a non-binding Early Action deadline for undergraduate applicants who desire early notification of their admission status. If you wish to be considered for Early Action, submit your completed application by November 15 to receive an admission decision by January 15.

If you attended an institution of higher education for any period of time after graduating from a secondary school, please apply as a transfer student. We recommend that you submit your application as early as possible. Current semester transcripts may be required, but you should not wait for the conclusion of the semester to apply. Transfer students are eligible for both financial aid and merit-based scholarships.
The excellence of a UNE education has been recognized by The Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, and many others. That excellence translates into professional success for our graduates: UNE is the Brookings Institution’s #1 Maine college for increasing career earnings as well as Zippia's top college in Maine for getting a job after graduation. >
