First-year

Talladega College is test-optional because we support the holistic evaluation of our first-year candidates and we appreciate the many ways in which they can demonstrate their academic strengths and potential to succeed in college.  Students who are interested in applying to Talladega College as first year candidates must meet the following requirements for admission:

  • $25 Application Fee
  • Satisfactory completion of high school graduation requirements
  • Minimum 2.0 unweighted GPA required for admission consideration.
  • 3.0 unweighted GPA for Assured Admission
  • Requested Recommendations / Reports (ie., Counselor, Teachers)

Students are encouraged to apply to Talladega College by the Early Action I (November 15) or Early Action II (January 19) deadline.  Students whose application is complete by the applicable Early Action deadline will be given priority consideration for institutional scholarships and for the College's Honors Program. "Complete" means that the application and all required supporting documents needed to make an admissions decision have been submitted by the applicable deadline.

Note: Scholarship funds are subject to availability. FAFSA completion is strongly encouraged (since it is required for scholarships). FAFSA completion advisory does not apply to international students.

Transfer

Talladega College welcomes students who are exploring the opportunity to transfer and to continue their educational journey with us.  Students who are interested in transferring to Talladega College must meet the following requirements for admission:

  • $25 Application Fee
  • Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Satisfactory completion of at least 24 semester / 36 quarter hours
  • If less than 24 semester / 36 quarter hours have been satisfactorily completed, the student must also meet the requirements for First year/Freshman admissions (ie., 3.0 unweighted GPA for assured admissions ... and a minimum 2.0 unweighted GPA for admissions consideration).
  • Provide official transcripts from all accredited colleges and/or universities attended
  • Provide Dean's Certification Form (International Transfers ONLY)
