Our Common App is specifically for fall, first-year students applying to Rutgers for the first time and seeking full-time degree study. Applicants interested in spring or summer entry, part-time enrollment, off-campus locations, or online or non-degree study, please use our traditional Rutgers application.
First Year applicants can take advantage of early action and submit their application by November 1 or apply during regular decision by December 1. A $70 non-refundable application fee is required. Rutgers must receive the fee or a fee waiver before your application is considered complete and ready for review. Rutgers requires that first-year applicants provide a short, original essay. Letters of recommendation are not used for admissions consideration.
