Freshman/First-Year applicants are those who will attend NMU after completion of a high school diploma or GED but will not have attended any other college after high school completion.
NMU does not use ACT or SAT scores in making admissions or scholarship decisions. High school grades are reviewed, starting with the 9th grade year. Applicants with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.25 or higher will be admitted to NMU. Applicants with a cumulative high school GPA below 2.25 will be reviewed based on courses and grades, grade trend, selected academic program, and any other information provided which could include test scores.
NMU does not have an application deadline and admission is rolling up until the beginning of each term. There is no application fee.
