Among the nation's premier research universities, Lehigh offers a rigorous academic community for nearly 6,000 undergraduate students. Our ideal size, low student-to-faculty ratio, collaborative spirit and hands-on focus allow students to thrive in and out of the classroom. Student life at Lehigh integrates academics with an array of organizations and activities, leadership development, residential life, the arts, athletics and exciting community service opportunities.

Application information

Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

First-year

Students should apply as a first-year applicant if they have not enrolled full-time at another institution. The Office of Admissions uses a holistic approach, and will thoroughly consider a student’s transcript, recommendation letters, activities, leadership, personal qualities, essays and supplemental responses, and if requested, standardized testing.

The deadline for first-year admission is November 1st for Early Decision and January 1st for Regular Decision and Early Decision 2 applicants. An application fee of $75 is due upon submitting the application, though fee waivers are available for qualified students. More information is available on our website.

Transfer

Lehigh University welcomes applications from transfer students who are currently enrolled at other two- or four-year institutions. We review applications holistically and consider both high school and college transcripts, writing supplements, educational and personal experiences and the conduct report form. Standardized testing (SAT or ACT) is not required, nor are recommendation letters.

The deadline for a spring term start is November 1st, and the deadline for a fall term start is April 1st.  An application fee of $75 is due upon submitting the application, though fee waivers are available for qualified students. More information is available on our website.

My favorite thing about Lehigh is the people, hands down. The people you meet here want to see you do well in all aspects of life. They will celebrate your success and help you get back up when you may fall down.
