First-year

The University maintains a rolling admission policy accepting the free E&H application or The Common Application. The E&H application opens on July 1 for the following year’s enrollment. Students applying early have priority in class and housing selection. A dedicated admission counselor aids students throughout the application and enrollment process. Students should submit an official high school transcript and have the option to submit test scores (SAT of ACT). Test scores are not required. An essay is not required. The deadline to apply for fall admission is July 21.

Transfer

Emory & Henry University is the choice for students transferring from any community college, public or private institution. We work hard to incorporate the credit hours you have earned from previous institutions—saving you time as you work towards your degree. With admission agreements, articulation agreements and pathway programs, it’s now easier than ever to complete your degree. Complete the application, essay and send your transcripts from any previously attended institution. Apply by July 21 for the fall semester and Dec. 1 for the spring semester. www.emoryhenry.edu/transfer

“You must get up, rise up and focus–and when somebody asks you where you went to college, you stand tall and say, ‘Emory & Henry,’ in the prosperous, life-giving, music-shaking, soul-quaking, intellect-making hills of Southwest Virginia in Appalachia where America found her voice because unto those hills, through them and over them, came you.” Adriana Trigiani, best-selling author, film director, Southwest Virginia native and co-founder of The Origin Project, in her address to the graduating class of 2018.
