First year applicants are those currently still in high school or who have already graduated but have not taken college coursework post graduation. Students enrolled in college classes as part of the high school curriculum should also apply as a first year student.
Early Decision I & II: November 1 & January 15
Early Decision is considered binding. This is an ideal option if Wooster is your top-choice. Learn about the Benefits of Applying Early Decision, including preferred housing and expedited internship planning.
Early Action: November 15
Early Action is a non-binding option that offers you an admission notification earlier in the process, and still allows you to consider other colleges and universities. Early Action applicants have until May 1 to make their final college decision.
Regular Decision: February 15
Regular Decision applicants will receive an admissions decision by April 1 and have until May 1 to make their final college decision.
January Start: December 1
Students graduating high school by the end of the 2024 calendar year may wish to begin at Wooster for the spring semester (January-May). Decisions are released on a rolling basis, and course registration would take place in December.
Transfer applicants are those that have graduated from high school and have completed college courses post graduation. Students interested in transferring to The College of Wooster may do so up until the end of their sophomore year. We welcome transfer applications for Fall or Spring Semester. Staff will respond with a transfer credit check within 48-72 hours. Once all required information is received, you should have an admission decision within two to three weeks.
Those interested in a spring start date must apply no later than December 15.
Those interested in a fall start date must apply no later than June 15.
